While learning about photography and the many buttons and settings of my camera, I did discover that photo editing can be fun, thanks to the help of Photoshop Actions.

For those of you that are not familiar with the term “Photo Actions”, these are a series of recorded steps or shortcuts that a designer creates to help a photographer to enhance and enrich their photos, in a fast and efficient way.

Photographers rely on photo editing software to turn their images into black and white, for example, they can record all those steps so later with one click of a button, and they can replicate that process on hundreds of images.

Have you ever seen those beautiful baby photos that they look so perfect and angelic? Well, those photos are not “straight out of the camera (SOOC)” they are processed through some editing software, such as Photoshop.

Some actions can be free, however many designer have made a business out of creating and selling Photoshop actions. The prices can range from $100-$800 depending on the actions.

Recently I came across with Greater than Gatsby Photoshop Actions. Joshua, the creative mind behind these actions is a genius. I purchased all the actions as a package and I can’t get enough of them. The costs of these actions are very reasonable, very easy to use, and the outcome is incredible.

Here are some of the Before and After using Greater than Gatsby Photoshop Actions.

Hi there,

With Spring here, it reminds me of last spring when I visit a quaint little village in Loudoun County, VA for their annual Lucketts Spring Antique Market. There were so many beautiful antiques, from furniture to attractive small collectible items. Each vendor’s stand looked so beatifully decorated that made it really hard for me not to buy everything. I can’t wait to go back again!

While there I found a beautiful antique frame, which I thought I could use it to hang jewelry, make-up or pictures. Today I’m using it to hang my kids pictures and art projects.

I made the backing of the frame with a different frabric on each side, so I can switch them when necessary. Please visit my Tutorial page for more information.

Thank you for visiting.

Photography

Hello world,

Today, I went to take some pictures of the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC. I made it for the early golden hours, and I’m glad I did; here are some of the photos I took.

Few months ago, I decided to learn a little more about photography. I’ve been taking an online course and I have learned a lot.

Do you have any questions about photography? I’m not an expert but I would love to hear from you!

I can still see some snowflakes slowly and peacefully coming down. Yesterday, I walked under the snow and it felt just wonderful. I realized that life is full of magical spontaneous moments, and is up to us to enjoy them.

This week was the last day of ballet class, and sadly we missed it. I love seeing her wearing pink leotard and ballet shoes… it brings me so many childhood memories…

Since I love ballet and cupcakes, I thought would be a good idea to design my own version of ballerina cupcake toppers. I created the outfit using some essential tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Silhouette Cameo, crepe paper and ribbon.

I created these fun cupcake toppers in two different colors, and I’m in love with both. I can totally picture these at our next birthday party, with pastel color poms poms, jars full of pink candies, and a ruffled dessert table full of delicious pastries. What do you think about these cupcake toppers? Would you use them in your next girl’s party?

Hello friends,

It has been awhile since I last posted, my life and creativity has reached a plateau and for some reason I haven’t being able to get out of it.

I’m focused in shaking things up a bit and get back to normal. I feel overwhelmed, with so many things on my mind related to family, work and future goals that clarity has been sorely missing.

Few weeks ago I decided to start working on some cupcake toppers that I had in mind for a while; I thought this project could give me the energy boost I needed.

Here are few of the cupcake toppers I created using Silhouette Cameo, and are available thru my Etsy shop.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I look forward to reconnect with my old self soon.

Love-
CM~
